i just read this on the thrasher site
It’s with heavy hearts that we report on this morning’s passing of former pro Ray Underhill. A Bones Brigadier who went on to do great work with Eastern Skateboard Supply, he’ll be missed by many friends in the skateboard community.
I always put Ray in the 'Joe Johnson/Kevin Staab' dept of vert but fuck you cant deny the motherfucker had his shit down! Fakie ollie pivot fakie?!! Wow! RIP Ray you rule!
Ray was one of those people who was an absolute gentleman. I had only spoken to him a few weeks ago when he said he would be working from home as he no longer had the strength to work full days at the Eastern office. Ray loved skateboarding and working in the industry so much that he worked right up until the Friday morning before his passing.
Thanks for all the great memories Ray and showing us just how unique this global skateboarding family truly is. R.I.P.
