> BROKEN WRISTS-SCAFIOD(SP) BONE
Any of you guys broken the scafiod bone in your wrist, I'm sure a few of you have?
My young bloke is at the hospital getting xrays and looks like its broken.
Did they put it in a cast or did you just have a brace?
yep looks like it Drew, was a weird slam he slid ourt on the flat and landed in the bottom of the tranny on his arse and must have slapped his wrist somehow. Left wrist
A few of the boys looked a little worse for wear on Sun, big night at Potty's?
yeah I snuck out a bit early, had to go paint some of the shop. I thought it was wise to go when the chivas was being drunk straight from the bottle at 9am
Shoulda hung about Drew it got way better! I had band practice and Nick lost his wallet! Entertainment central! Thank you Potty, Drew and Alexa for an awesome weekend!
I have broken mine once - then rebroke it 6 times and was put in plaster evey time.
I have to have a bone graft now or i'll lose movement completly, or so i'm told.
It's definitely a common break but still a pain, sorry to hear that your young fella copped that one mate.
He's in a plaster cast, they are going to put it in fibreglass in 2 weeks time
Sitting here with mine in a fibreglass cast now, with a screw, some pins and some of my hip bone in there, this story could be added to worst day skateboarding thread i guess.does anybody have a really small violin..
i shattered mine and had one for 3 months, i still gotta get surgery, if its a normal brake its a 6 week cast, really annoying one too, covers your thumb n shit
Might have to ban him from the bowl until the glass one goes on. 6 weeks aint too bad, from what the quack says it is not a bad break, will slow the little shit down a little.
he's been waiting so long for the new park and 2nd day does this ,he's spewing
i've broken both mine...both have a bone graft with a screw through. gonna have some sweet arthritis pretty soon i'm sure.
apparently because of the movement the area gets and the lack of blood supply it breaks easily and doesn't really heal itself properly.
apparently both were old injuries (years old) that i just re-did, i shattered the right one pretty good! 4 broken bones and some epic dislocation... i'm not a big fan of transition skating...
