Bra Bowl burnt

mosu101 21:16 19/Sep/06

Thanks Leo, I suspected that it was the "Lapa Pizza cutterr gang". Damn seems wrong that we just have to give up the spot to a bunch of tagger, scooter ridding dickheads

Not Drew, I appreciate your support. lets focus it by sending an email to randwick council asking them to repair the facility (wouldnt hurt to add how much you enjoy the park) might be worth asking council to keep the bins locked up (Ive asked before and it hasnt worked yet but maybe someday council will get the picture.)

General.Manager@randwick.nsw.gov.au

or you can call the customer service center 1300 722 542 from 8:30 to 5:30

Inundate the council with emails - they are the same as sending a letter in that the council actually has to keep them on record. Phonecalls they can just ignore.

Come to think of it they ignore the emails too -BUT at least there is a record of all the complaints which may be useful in the future.

the bra's been there for awhile, to what i know, the coping is still perfect, the concrete is still smooth as, but its just some little areas where there are cracks and shizz.

its done well to last as long as it has.

It needs a hubba style ledge or flat bar

speer 06:44 26/Sep/06

maroubra isnt going to get any new ledges flat bar whatever... but if you have a look at the safety sign there should be a number to call about repairs. call it.

OK - I got this reply in my email today:
Bondiboy66,
I'm Brian Longbottom Beach Services Coordinator,my men should
inspect the skate park at least twice a day, I have reiterated this
point to them, they have also been asked if there are any loose ottos
they are to store them in our shed. I have also asked waste management
to report ant faulty doors on the bin surrounds so they can be repaired
but in the meantime the otto should be removed. I have men in there
today attempting to scrape the remainder of the burnt out bins from the
surface.

Yours sincerely
Brian Longbottom

I replied:
Hello Brian,
Thank you so much for your reply. The Maroubra Skatepark is a top class facility, and well loved by skaters young and old (I fit into the 'older' bracket!). As such, it is a facility that is deserving of an efficient program of maintenance, and if you can keep the Otto bins out of the equation then I'm sure your job will be that much easier.

It is very disappointing that the few can ruin things for the many that enjoy using the skatepark. I wish you all the best in your endeavours to keep the park in good shape.

Thanks again,
Bondiboy66

Proscecuting the offenders (or just plain kicking the shit out of them) would help too.

bondiboy66 11:03 26/Sep/06

I think I got a reply because I said rather pointedly in my last email that I had not got any response from my previous emails - so bloody well reply to this one! Or slightly nicer words to that effect.
