The concrete below the coping on the quarter next to the ledge on the box is getting really bad now. I wonder when the coping will fall out? Does the council fix shit when a coping falls out?
no it isn't, the graf alone is enough to keep even the highest of intellect ammused for hours.

Concrete under coping falling out? "D-Brand" trademark
I think I missed something in the last X years, is D-Brand the park designer/builder etc...
Yes D-Brand was involved. "Skateparks Design and Construction" was the builder and they subcontract Stacey Dennis aka D-Brand to draw up the designs for them. I told Stacey at the planning meetings that the way they did the coping was not so good and prone to concrete failure. He totally wouldn't listen and just laughed it off. He claimed that he was some kind of skate god and knows better than anyone else.
Same thing happened for the Riverview skatepark. He totally didn't like my suggestion about putting in the spine and tried to belittle me in front of the council people. Ha ha now the spine is the best part of the park and the rest of his ideas are crap.
He is a really insulting and disrespectful person. I think that I'll be recommending that the council never use his services again.
Don't worry about him, I've heard of this Stacy guy and the council would have already seen his "work". But then again.
Skateparks Design and Construction only have to undercut the opposition and they'll get the job again and again. There will be councillors around the country totally happy with the "professional manner" of their dealings with the company, regardless of the fact the kids are unhappy with the outcome, lacking a progressive and challenging park and not getting the quality they deserve.
LOL Black Flag...
Yeah oxymoron unfortunately time and time again I hear Council's reccommend (and even rave about) companies that are obviously good at client PR (and doing things on the cheap) but when you look at what they actually produce...
Unfortunately most Council employees in charge of skatepark construction have no idea about it and wouldn't know good or bad design and then there's the construction quality side of things - the number of parks I see with substandard construction quality (and outright construction flaws) is staggering.
Construction specifications/tolerances/quality checks just don't exist with most parks built...
Oh well at least they're building parks - more than I could say when I was growing up (Council's seemed more preoccupied with tearing down backyard ramps!!!)
I ate it big time today thanks to some lovely pieces of emptiness below above said coping. I think tomorrow i might take the coping home and make a little rail out of it.
When I was much younger, I used to do speed runs down Collingwood Drive past Redbank Plaza. Once you got started, you were moving way too fast to attempt to jump off. I'm getting sweaty palms just thinking about it.
