whats the white lines going through the park??
and is the red area like banks??

the meeting last night went pretty well, there were alot more objectors speaking than skaters, but all the objectors kept ranting on about the same crap, where as the skaters had lots of quality points.
basically the oldies kept using the fact that there was aboriginal tree near the proposed site and a skatepark would ruin the great heritage that tree had or summin like that, but i doubt they care about abroiginal heritage anyway or they would give the land their house is on back to the aborinals.
alot of them said "i have nothing against skating or skateboarders, but i don't want a skatepark in this area" which was bullshit.
one lady had the nerve to say "i think the kind of behavior a skatepak would bring belongs a bit furhter away from the city in the lower class suburbs" and some people said that skateboarding was "anti social" n ####. even though i reckon its really social considering u always do it with ya mates.
But Wedge Francis and Renton Millar both gave hella good speeches that should have affected the council's decision. i didn't stay till the very end so i don't know exactly how it turned out but yer. props every1 who came.
thats awsome but bikers will proberly take over that park with the bowl n especially the bike racks encourging them.
How old are some of you people? As if bike racks are going to encourage bikers? If bikers are going to use the park there not going to park them in the racks are they? The reason there there is alot of skaters ride to parks because of the distance from public transport. The growing debate of bikers/skaters is rediculous, we should all be working together to get parks built full stop, we need as much help as possible.

lol^ but alot of problems ive heard that have come from people is that skaters will bring drugs into st kilda, like there isnt already enough
